Mission: Fifth graders at Oakdale School are preparing to become lifelong, independent learners. Each of us is unique and affected by cultural, linguistic, intellectual, psychological, social and economic factors. We develop an awareness and understanding of our strengths as individuals, as well as an appreciation of our diversity. We know that a strong academic foundation, a love of learning, a sense of responsibility, and a sense of pride in ourselves will enable us to be successful middle school students. Our confidence builds as we grow as problem solvers and creative thinkers. In cooperation with our families and our community, we begin to define our identities. As the oldest students at Oakdale School, fifth graders are proud to be role models, demonstrating critical thinking, academic excellence, positive study skills and responsible citizenship.
