Nurse - Health & Wellness

The school health program consists of three interdependent and inter-related parts: health education, a healthy environment and health services. The goal of the Montville Public Health Program is to assist each child to attain and maintain his/her optimum state of health so that he/she may benefit to the maximum degree from his/her educational experience. Therefore, the health status of each student is monitored to help identify and address unmet needs of each child. The services provided through the Health Office are defined by the National Association of School Nurses as well as the School Health Unit of the Department of Public Health in Connecticut.

Please call with any questions, especially when in doubt whether or not to send your child back to school after an illness. We are always happy to speak with you.
